RECONNECTING WITH YOURSELF
A gentle space for those navigating identity, relationship challenges and life transitions - often accompanied by anxiety or overthinking.
Offering online counselling across Australia.
Something in you may be feeling…..
Perhaps something has been weighing on you - a sense of overwhelm, uncertainty, or a quiet pressure to keep going while something inside feels unsettled. You might find yourself caught between expectations and your own needs, tired of overthinking, overwhelmed but unsure why, or feeling not quite enough. At times, there can be a sense of disconnection, as if you’ve lost touch with yourself, your inner voice or where you truly belong.
When uncertainty or self-doubt has been part of your story, having a steady space to slow down and listen inward can feel nourishing. You don’t have to carry this on your own.
A gentle, integrative and somatic approach supported by EMDR
At Somira, therapy is not about fixing or rushing change, but about creating space to understand what has been carried - often for a long time.
We offer a calm and supportive space to slow down and gently explore what you’ve been going through. Our work is grounded in a gentle, integrative and somatic approach, supported by EMDR.
Together, we explore cultural, relational, and lived experiences, not just through words, but also by noticing what may be held in the body, including emotions, patterns, and responses that may not yet have words. Over time, this can support the development of self-trust, emotional clarity, and a more grounded sense of identity beyond inherited expectations.

Accredited EMDR therapist, experienced psychotherapist and counsellor, and registered clinical counsellor with a focus on a compassionate, evidence-based approach.
-
We integrate EMDR, Parts Work, Narrative Therapy, ACT, and Mindfulness-Based Somatic Psychotherapy, combining talk therapy with body-focused awareness to explore anxiety, rumination, identity, relationships, and past experiences, fostering clarity, self-trust, and meaningful change.

We work with adults and older teens navigating identity, relationships, and deeper self-connection. This may include those from mixed or immigrant backgrounds or caught between differing expectations and values. People seek therapy during transitions (career choices, moving countries, relationship or identity shifts, new roles like parenthood) while managing strong family expectations. These moments raise questions: Who am I becoming? Where do I belong? How can I live authentically? Underlying this is a desire for clarity, meaning, and returning to oneself.

Yes, we offer Telehealth sessions via secure video, allowing clients to attend from a private and comfortable space. Online therapy is just as effective and meaningful as in-person sessions, and we’ll take time to make sure the space and process feel safe for you.

The first session is about creating a gentle space to slow down and begin getting to know each other, whilst exploring what has brought you to therapy and noting what feels present in your body and inner world. In ongoing sessions, we work collaboratively with emotions, patterns, and bodily responses, gradually building awareness and a sense of safety. There is no checklist and no right way to do therapy. We tailor the process to your individual needs.
